Nike Joins Cleats to Provide On-Field Baseball & Softball Gear

We are very excited to announce our new partnership with Nike as a supplier at Cleats. Nike has approached Cleats in order to provide high school and club teams with on-field gear because they recognize that team outfitters like Cleats are where the true players shop. We hope to have Nike products in stock by Christmas 2010. Plan to stop by to see the exciting baseball and softball items that Nike has to offer.

Genuine Rawlings Gold Glove Award on Display at Cleats

The Rawlings Gold Glove Award is the highest symbol of defensive excellence in Major League Baseball. Players who earn this award are considered "the Finest in the Field." Rawlings began giving players this award in 1957, with nine players receiving it. The next year, in 1958, eighteen players started receiving it and that is the way it's been ever since. One player from each defensive position including the pitcher competes for this honor. The award itself is a gold lamé-tanned leather glove and is affixed to a walnut base.

Rawlings has given us a Gold Glove Award for display at Cleats Sports. We have a genuine version of the same award that is given to players along with full list of all of the 2009 winners on our display case. Cleats' Revolutionary Mizuno Glove Steamer

Cleats, the state's premier Baseball and Softball Specialist, has once again raised the bar. If you have a new glove that's too stiff and you just can't seem to break it in, our new Mizuno Glove Steamer can help.

Mizuno, one of the world's top baseball manufacturers, invented the Glove Steamer to assist with breaking in gloves. Mizuno is currently testing 3 Glove Steamers in the US market and has decided to place one at Cleats. The device breaks in new ball gloves by steaming and softening the leather. Once the glove is removed from the steamer, a Cleats associate will shape and soften the glove with a wooden mallet that simulates catching a ball. After steaming and conditioning the glove is practically game-ready.
